PED -certifiering är ett certifieringssystem under Europeiska tryckutrustningens direktiv för att säkerställa säkerheten för tryckutrustning på marknaden i EU: s medlemsländer.

Certifieringssystemet kräver att utrustning och komponenter som utsätts för tryck högre än 0,5 bar måste följa dess föreskrifter för att säkerställa att dessa enheter är utformade och tillverkade i enlighet med säkerhetsstandarder.

PED was adopted on May 29, 1997, effective from November 29, 1999, and has a grace period of 30 months of adaptation until May 28, 2002, that is, the product can choose to apply the PED or the original regulations of each country (but those who apply the original regulations of each country can only circulate in the country), and from May 29, 2002, the original regulations of each country will be abolished, and PED has become a mandatory regulation for pressure equipment in Europe.
